Several new members will be inducted into the Appalachian Trail Hall of Fame on Friday, June 2, at the seventh annual Appalachian Trail Hall of Fame Banquet. This year, the Banquet will be held at a new location, the Comfort Suites in downtown Carlisle, Pennsylvania, at 10 South Hanover Street, just four miles from the A.T.
Emcee for the evening will be Ron Tipton, Executive Director and CEO of Appalachian Trail Conservancy. Music will be provided again by Randy "Windtalker" Motz. Windtalker’s music is described as "Native SoundScapes", a unique blend of traditional and contemporary Native American-style flute.
Jim Foster, chair of the Appalachian Trail Hall of Fame selection committee, said a 6 p.m. reception will precede the dinner, which begins at 7 p.m. The cost of the reception and dinner is $35 for museum members and $45 for others.
