SHELTER REGISTERS AND VINTAGE GUIDES

In this section you will find copies of actual Appalachian Trail shelter registers from bygone days, plus some vintage hiking guides. Now you can experience one of the main forms of entertainment and news along the trail, just like the hikers before you. Some are just saying "hello" to those behind, others are reporting trail conditions, while others are weaving stories or providing comics for your enjoyment. Also included are vintage reference materials such as data books, and general guides to the Appalachian Trail.

If you have a shelter journal or similar historical item that you would like to donate to the A.T. Museum, please CONTACT US. If you have a log book but would rather keep it yourself, contact us for directions on how to scan the images yourself and send us a copy so all can enjoy. Thank You.
