EARL SHAFFER FOUNDATION - The Earl Shaffer Foundation celebrates the life and times of Earl V. Shaffer, a writer, poet, naturalist, dedicated environmentalist, and the first person to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail from end to end in one continuous journey. APPALACHIAN TRAIL CONSERVANCY - Primary steward of the A.T., and a long time partner.
APPALACHIAN TRAIL HISTORIES - A digital public history project created by Professor Mills Kelly and his students at George Mason University.
CUMBERLAND VALLEY APPALACHIAN TRAIL CLUB - A.T. hiking and maintaining club in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.

FRIENDS OF PINE GROVE FURNACE STATE PARK - The Friends of Pine Grove Furnace State Park keep history alive and promotes educational and recreational programs at Pine Grove Furnace State Park and surrounding areas through special events and trail development while protecting the park's natural resources. The Friends group supports the park by purchasing materials to improve visitor services, facilitating special events such as Fall Furnace Fest in October, administering grants and organizing volunteers. Formed in 2010 as a chapter of the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation, we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable entity: donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
FRIENDS OF MICHAUX STATE FOREST - The Friends of Michaux State Forest foster the preservation and enhancement of the forest’s recreational, cultural, and natural resources.
INTERNATIONAL APPALACHIAN TRAIL - The mission of the IAT is to to establish a network of walking trails that extends beyond borders to all geographic regions once connected by the Appalachian-Caledonian orogen, formed more than 250 million years ago on the super-continent Pangea.
