The A.T. Hall of Fame was developed by the Museum to honor persons who have made exceptional and positive contributions to the Appalachian Trail or the A.T. community. A class of honorees has been selected each year since 2011. Each year we solicit nominees from the general public. The Hall of Fame selection committee then goes through the nominations and selects the honorees for the year. They are honored at the Museum's Hall of Fame Banquet. The Museum has established a Hall of Fame Room in the Ironmaster's Mansion to honor the Hall of Fame Inductees. The Room includes commemorative plaques for each Class and a collection of custom made hiking sticks honoring the Inductees.
