We are thrilled to announce that Heather will appear at the Museum on May 21, 2022. Heather, whose trail name is "Anish", holds several Fastest Known Time (FKT) records. She holds the overall self-supported FKT on the Pacific Crest Trail (2013), as well as the female self-supported FKT on the Appalachian Trail (2015) and the Arizona Trail (2016).
The event will be held on the lawn of the Ironmaster's Mansion, a few minutes walk from the A.T. Museum. Please bring your own lawn chairs or blankets to sit on for the event. Parking is at the small lot next to the General Store or at one of the Furnace Stack Day Use Area lots.
Here is the event schedule:
- 12:30-1:00pm: Speaker - Sarah Robison, A.T. hiker & blogger. HERE is a link for more information on Sarah.
- 1-2pm: Break - Heather Anderson will have books and merchandise for sale and Big Hill Ciderworks will be on site with samples! You may also use this time to visit the AT Museum.
- 2-3pm: Speaker - Heather Anderson HERE is a link to Heather's website.
- 3-10pm: Head over to Big Hill Ciderworks, 338 Georgetown Rd. Gardners, PA, only a 15 minute drive from the Museum, for an after party event! Big Hill will donate $1 per pint sold between 3-10 pm to the A.T. Museum.
