A new exhibit is coming to the Appalachian Trail Museum!
After months of behind-the-scenes work, a 3-dimensional relief map of the Appalachian Trail and a laser system is being installed on the museum’s second floor, located in the Old Mill at Pine Grove Furnace State Park. Funded by South Mountain Partnership, Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau, the Miles Fund of Mountain Club of Maryland, and private donors, the exhibit will include future interactive features to allow visitors to experience the Trail, its surrounding landscapes and communities.
We'll post additional photos as the installation progresses. If you can't wait for our updates, just stop by the Museum and check out the progress. We'll announce a date for the Grand Opening of our new exhibit after the installation is complete.
