A near record crowd honored the 2019 Appalachian Trail Hall of Fame inductees and other honorees at the 9th Annual A.T. Hall of Fame Banquet.  The venue for the 2019 Banquet was the Army Heritage and Education Center in Carlisle, PA.  MC for the Banquet was Sandra “Sandi” Marra, Chair of the Board of Appalachian Trail Conservancy.

The 2019 Hall of Fame class is the late Jean Cashin, who served 24 years as Information Specialist and the face of Appalachian Trail Conservancy at its Harpers Ferry, WV headquarters; the late Paul Fink, a pioneer hiker and the single person most responsible for laying out the Appalachian Trail in the southern states; Don King, who has spent more than 40 years with the National Park Service acquiring land to protect the A.T. and other wild spaces; and the late Bob Proudman, who spent 50 years working with ATC and others as a consultant, trail designer and recreational safety expert and had extensive outdoor experience as a mountaineer and adventurer.
In addition to the Hall of Fame class, Museum President Larry Luxenberg honored Mike "Wing-Heart" Wingeart. Wing-Heart is a 2007 A.T. thru-hiker, a former Coordinator of  the Appalachian Long Distance Hikers Association and a long-time volunteer with both ALDHA and the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club.  Music during the reception was provided by the Randy “Windtalker” Motz.
Each Hall of Fame honoree, plus Ms. Marra, received a hiking stick custom carved by John “Bodacious” Beaudet.  On Sunday, May 5, the Museum held its annual Hall of Fame Festival in Pine Grove Furnace State Park.
