1983 Data Book

Below are links to images of each page of the 1983 Data Book carried by Gonzo! on his 1983 AT thruhike. He has indicated the day he arrived and spent the night at points along the trail, and notes along the way about what to send to certain towns and misclaneous other notes that give a glimps at the planning process implemented. As with most items sold by the ATC, Northbounders have to read backwards. To follow his dates, you must look from page 78 backwards. Notice that the some pages have been disconnected from the whole book allowing for only small sections to be carried at one time, thus saving weight. This was the fifth edition put out by the ATC. If anyone has copies of any early databooks, please contact us so you can either donate them to the Museum, or arrange to make copies for us.
