1983 Poplar Ridge Shelter Register (Maine)

Below are links to images of each page of a 1983 Shelter register obtained from Appalachian Trail Hall of Fame Member David Field who placed the register in the Poplar Ridge Shelter for the 1983 season. Poplar Ridge Shelter, probably the first "Baseball Bat" shelter for Northbounders, was just North of Saddleback and just before Spaulding Mountain Shelter. The Register begins with an entry by Dave Field on July 28, 1983 and ends with an entry on Halloween, October 31, 1983. The fact that there are very few signers may have something to do with the fact that there seemed to be another register placed by a hiker at the same shelter.
