The Appalachian Trail Museum, located in the Old Mill, Pine Grove Furnace State Park, Gardners, PA, is seeking a museum manager for its 2021 season. As the Museum’s only paid staff person, the manager is responsible for building and grounds maintenance; volunteer recruitment, training, and scheduling; care of the exhibits; gift shop sales and inventory; and representing the museum within the state park and broader community.
While these responsibilities are concentrated during the museum’s open months, property managements/improvements and volunteer recruitment/training take place year round. The Museum is open for seven months of the year and closed during the winter. The 2021 season will begin in late March with volunteer trainings and a volunteer clean-up day.
