How to Get Involved

Help Wanted:

In the 3 months of it's first season, since its opening, more than 8,000 people have visited the Appalachian Trail Museum. The Museum has also sponsored or participated in four programs. Now plans are underway to open up two more floors of the Old Mill building to visitors over the next few years. As the Museum grows and changes, we need volunteers to help with these plans. Among the areas where the Museum could use help are: people to work on visitor programs, cataloguing and growing the artifact collection, planning and developing new exhibits, fundraising, a web content editor and a natural plants garden designer. We also staff the Museum with volunteer docents. It's a fun chance to meet a lot of interesting people. The Museum also needs storage space.
